The Philippine Orchid Society, in cooperation with the Quezon City Government, launched the 2019 Orchid Festival with the goal of promoting awareness for the conservation and propagation of different orchid species.

It will also highlight the world-renowned Waling-waling, also known as the “Queen of all Orchids,” which is native to the lush forests of Mindanao along with the collection of several of the country’s noted orchid growers.

Guests can enjoy commercial bazaars and a competition at the venue as well. This is part of the Orchid Festival’s objective of endorsing local orchid producers as reliable sources for the international floriculture industry.

Daily lectures and demos will also be available for guests to attend. Topics such as growing different types of orchids, tropicalizing bonsai, and more will be discussed by well-known speakers from the horticulture industry and members of the POS.

Visit the Quezon City Memorial Circle Flower Garden from 8AM to 6:00PM from August 30 to September 9 to catch a glimpse of what this year’s Orchid Festival has to offer.
