Julius Barcelona is holding a fruit of Hain Beauty, which is considered
the best-tasting watermelon variety developed by the late Wun-Yu Chen, the founder and principal breeder of Known-You Seed of Taiwan.
Hain Beauty is one of several varieties under experiment for their adaptability to local conditions at the Known-You Philippines experimental farm in Alcala, Pangasinan.
Barcelona says that the pink flesh is very fine-textured, juicy, sweet, and with a very unique flavor.
Fruits (about 7 kg each) are harvestable 75 to 90 days after sowing. With
